2022 Football Playoff Bracket Predictions: Week 9

We are less than two weeks away from the 2022 LHSAA football playoff selections — Sunday, Nov. 6. With the playoffs creeping up, it’s time to predict the field in each Non-Select and Select division ahead of the bracket reveal.
Before diving into the brackets, I’ll explain my process for selecting the predicted field. In these bracket projections, the chosen teams are NOT an indication of the official LHSAA playoff power ratings, but rather these picks are my opinion, considering all games through Oct. 22 while projecting future play throughout the remainder of the regular season.
The predicted brackets follow the format of the revamped LHSAA playoffs, with 28 teams in the Non-Select divisions coming from automatic district champion bids and playoff power ratings. The top four teams receive a first-round bye. On the Select side, 24 teams come from automatic district champion bids and playoff power ratings with the top eight receiving a first-round bye.
Please note that these are unofficial and that only the LHSAA releases official numbers and brackets at the completion of the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 5.
