Dominican’s Camryn Chatellier Named Volleyball Player of the Week

Volleyball honors are nominated by the school’s head coach. To nominate a student-athlete, the head coach may submit statistics, team win-loss records and other supporting information to by 10AM each Tuesday.

Player of the Week: Camryn Chatellier, Dominican – OH – Senior

In a week filled with outstanding performances on the volleyball court, Camryn Chatellier of Dominican High School has emerged as the Volleyball Player of the Week, brought to you by Lafayette Travel. Chatellier, a senior hitter, not only reached an impressive career milestone but also displayed consistent excellence throughout the week.

Chatellier achieved her 1,000th career kill, solidifying her legacy in Louisiana high school volleyball. Leading the top-ranked squad against tough competition, she helped secure victories against three Top-10-ranked teams, according to the Varsity Sports Network.

Her statistics for the week are nothing short of remarkable. Chatellier maintained a .326 hitting percentage and recorded 56 kills, demonstrating her precision and power at the net. She also contributed on defense with 62 digs and showcased her versatility with 12 aces.

In tournament play, Chatellier and her Dominican team dominated with four straight-set victories, with their only loss coming against the second-ranked Hannan team. Despite the loss, Chatellier’s leadership and determination remained evident.
