GeauxPreps Week 9 Football Polls Presented By The Tim Fletcher Show
The ninth edition of the 2021 GeauxPreps Top 10 Football Polls presented by The Tim Fletcher Show provides a few change-ups throughout all five classifications.
All teams ranked No. 1 in last week’s poll held their position as other teams are battling their way up the poll to obtain the top spot.
In Class 5A, C.E. Byrd resurfaced in the Top 10 while West Monroe dropped out following a double-overtime loss to district foe Ouachita Parish.
Carencro dropped down to No. 7 in this week’s poll following its third loss on the year while Shreveport area schools Northwood and Huntington cracked the Top 5. Cecilia entered the Top 10 for the first time this season.
No major changes were made to the Class 3A poll while E.D. White broke into the Top 10 following its win over undefeated Lutcher.
Despite its loss to highly-touted Berkeley Prep of Florida, Newman dropped just one spot in the Class 2A poll while the rest of the field remained the same. Avoyelles broke into the Top 10 for the second time this season after improving to 7-1 on the year.
Classes 3A and 2A each feature six undefeated teams in the Top 10 of their respective classifications.
In Class 1A, Homer dropped out of the Top 10 for the first time this season after dropping a loss to Union Parish while Oak Grove fell to No. 8 following a district loss to Cedar Creek. After improving to 7-1, St. Mary’s cracked the Top 10 for the first time this year at the ninth position.
