Eat. Sleep. Break The Streak!

It was a record-breaking Week 8 in northeast Louisiana as two streaks were snapped Friday night.

In Class 5A, Ouachita Parish pulled off the unthinkable in a double-overtime victory that snapped district rival West Monroe’s 100-game district win streak. It was the Rebels’ first loss in league play since 2002 and the Lions took down West Monroe for the first time since 1994.

In Class 1A, Cedar Creek accomplished a feat that it had not been able to overcome since Bill Clinton was elected as President of the United States. The Cougars defeated Oak Grove in a hard-earned 13-9 district contest, giving Cedar Creek its first win in the series since 1993.
