Oak Grove’s Caroline Bradley Named Girl’s Basketball Player of the Week (Feb. 5-10)

Girl’s Player of the Week: Caroline Bradley, Freshman, Center, Oak Grove

In a week that saw remarkable performances across the girls’ basketball landscape, one rising star has shone brighter than the rest. Caroline Bradley, a promising freshman at Oak Grove High School, has emerged as a beacon of excellence on the court, catching the attention of not only local enthusiasts but also esteemed collegiate coaches, including the likes of LSU’s Kim Mulkey.

Bradley’s recent exploits have been nothing short of spectacular, culminating in a deserving recognition as this week’s recipient of the GeauxPreps.com Girls Basketball Player of the Week, an honor presented by S3 Physical Therapy of Lake Charles.

Closing out the regular season with a pair of electrifying outings, Bradley showcased her versatility and dominance, averaging a double-double of 30.5 points and 16.5 rebounds per game. Against Summerfield, she demonstrated her prowess with a stellar performance, tallying an impressive 30 points and an astounding 23 rebounds while also contributing three assists. Her impact on both ends of the court was undeniable, solidifying her reputation as a rising force in high school basketball.

In the District 2-2A finale showdown against Madison, Bradley once again rose to the occasion, notching another double-double with 31 points and 10 rebounds. Adding to her impressive stat line, she contributed two assists and two steals, displaying her all-around skills and tenacity. Remarkably, Bradley maintained an exceptional shooting efficiency, going 25 of 27 from the field in both contests combined.

As a pivotal figure for the Lady Tigers of Oak Grove High School, Bradley’s contributions have been instrumental in securing the No. 8 seed in the Non-Select Division IV playoffs. With eyes set on championship glory, Oak Grove is poised for a thrilling postseason journey, beginning with a clash against No. 25 Varnado on Thursday night.
