SWLA Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Announced As Boys Basketball, Baseball & Softball Title Sponsor

LAKE CHARLES – GeauxPreps.com is pleased to announce that Visit Lake Charles, the Southwest Louisiana Convention & Visitors Bureau, has joined the high school sports website as the title sponsor to help promote its boys basketball, baseball, and softball efforts.

The visitor’s bureau, located at 1205 North Lakeshore Drive in downtown Lake Charles, provides leadership in initiating and coordinating the worldwide marketing of Calcasieu Parish as a highly desirable leisure and convention destination.

Visit Lake Charles has been instrumental in bringing some of the top sporting events in the country to Southwest Louisiana including multiple high school level tournaments. The Louisiana High School Athletic Association hosts its baseball and softball state tournaments each May in Sulphur while the Top 28 Boys Basketball State Tournament is held in March at Burton Coliseum in Lake Charles.

“I can’t think of a better entity than the Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana CVB to help us promote some of the biggest high school sporting events in our state,” said GeauxPreps.com owner Hunter Bower. “Kyle Edminston, Eric Zartler and the Visit Lake Charles crew are the best when it comes to marketing sporting events in the Southwest Louisiana area. There is no doubt that both parties will benefit from this deal.”

Visit Lake Charles will serve as the title sponsor for GeauxPreps’ power ratings, daily scores, district standings, and this year’s playoff central pages for each respective sport. The visitor’s bureau will also have major placement on the GeauxPreps.com website and social media platforms.

“We look forward to working with everyone over at the Lake Charles CVB,” said Bower. “I am especially excited to promote the area as well as the upcoming LHSAA state tournaments set to take place in Lake Charles and Sulphur. This is truly Louisiana’s Playground and we are ready to get to work to help promote its most enjoyable pleasures.”

Travelers for each of the state tournaments can find what the Southwest Louisiana region has to offer by logging on to VisitLakeCharles.com. Their visitors can find events to attend, dining and lodging options, trip planning guides, and other things to do.
