U-Lab’s Kennedy Aldridge Named Girl’s Basketball Player of the Week

In a week filled with standout performances on the court, University Lab’s freshman point guard, Kennedy Aldridge, has emerged as the GeauxPreps.com Girls Basketball Player of the Week. This prestigious honor, presented by S3 Physical Therapy of Lake Charles, recognizes Aldridge’s exceptional skills and contributions to her team’s success.

Aldridge’s impact was undeniable as she led University Lab to an undefeated week, showcasing her prowess in every aspect of the game. Throughout the week, she demonstrated an impressive stat line, averaging 23.5 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 steals per game, all while maintaining an impressive 43% shooting accuracy from the field.

The standout performance came in a thrilling matchup against Scotlandville, ranked No. 11 in Select DI. Despite falling behind 16-2 early in the game, Kennedy Aldridge took charge, orchestrating a remarkable comeback that saw the Cubs secure a victory. Aldridge’s individual brilliance shone through as she poured in an outstanding 36 points, leading her team to triumph over the formidable 5A opponent.

Kennedy’s consistency and remarkable achievements have defined her freshman season, contributing significantly to University Lab’s success. Averaging 20 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 3.9 steals per game, she has become a key player for her team. Aldridge’s impressive resume includes three 30+ point games, 12 20+ point games, and a season-high of 41 points, illustrating her ability to consistently deliver standout performances.
