Who’s No. 1 in the latest GeauxPreps Football Polls?

All top-ranked teams took home victories in Week 8 leading to little change in the latest edition of the GeauxPreps.com High School Football Polls presented by Chevyland.com.
East St. John entered the top 10 of the Class 5A poll for the first time this season after improving to 8-0 on the season. The Wildcats have a showdown with undefeated district foe and third-ranked Destrehan this week.
In Class 4A, North DeSoto and Opelousas become the newest ranked teams following impressive wins over their opponents in Week 8. The Griffins are one of the hottest teams in Louisiana right now with nearly 55 points scored per game while forcing 40 turnovers on defense. Opelousas has navigated through a demanding schedule including a 21-16 win over previously ranked Cecilia on Friday.
Rosepine improved to 7-1 overall on the year after dominating Menard, 48-2, on Friday. The Eagles have held five of their eight opponents to seven points or less this season and have a showdown with Avoyelles awaiting them this week.
