2022 Preview

Many came up short in its bid for a state title repeat in 2021 but explosive playmakers return on both sides of the ball along with the bulk of a roster that is poised to contend for a fourth consecutive trip to the finals.

The Tigers return 17 total starters from a year ago led by one of the top prospects in the country in senior Tackett Curtis. The Power 5 target moved over to quarterback last season in addition to his defensive duties and is expected to serve as the general for both units. On a defensive unit that brings back all but one starter, Curtis along with all-state defensive back Tylen Singleton will command a unit that pitched four shutouts in 2021.

On the offensive side, Jeremiah James returns to lead the ground game for the Tigers in addition to Curtis and Singleton. Michigan State target Jo Cryer will take command of the offensive line that was responsible for Many's dominant ground game. as well as its potent aerial attack.

There will be no shying away from a competitive 2022 slate put together by head coach Jess Curtis who expects to have his team playoff-ready in the first week of the season. The Tigers will go toe to toe with a trio of Class 5A and 4A opponents in Sam Houston, DeRidder and Haughton before a. Week 4 showdown with Texas commit Arch Manning and the Newman Greenies at John W. Curtis Stadium in Many.
