Helen Cox’s Blount Named Volleyball Player of the Week

Volleyball honors are nominated by the school’s head coach. To nominate a student-athlete, the head coach may submit statistics, team win-loss records and other supporting information to hbower@geauxpreps.com by 10AM each Tuesday.

Player of the Week: Asyia Blount, Helen Cox – OH

Blount was instrumental in helping her team to a perfect week that including five shutout victories. As the only player with more than one year of high school experience, the outside hitter was essential in leading both offensively and defensively as she finished the week with 86 kills, 69 digs, 20 aces and 26 blocks.
