Inaugural Boot Up Football Coaches Clinic Set For February 25-26

The inaugural Boot Up Football Coaches Clinic, featuring an outstanding lineup of guest speakers from the high school and collegiate levels in Louisiana and surrounding states, is set to be held Friday, Feb. 25, and Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Holiday Inn in Alexandria.

The comprehensive two-day clinic will feature general presentations from multiple coaches throughout each day while Saturday will kick off with a Fundamentals and Drills break-out session, a hands-on approach to everyday drills designed to further improve a program.

“The Boot Up Football Coaching Clinic was created to give the coaches in Louisiana and surrounding states a centralized location to professionally develop while building a stronger network between them,” said clinic director Ikey Ray.

Cost of the two-day clinic is $65. Coaches are encouraged to pre-register before as a day-of ticket will cost $75.  Presentations begin at 10 a.m. on Friday and conclude at 8 p.m., with a Coach’s Social to follow.  Saturday’s presentations start at 8:30 a.m. and end at 12:45 p.m.

Vendors will be located within the hotel each day to consult and visit with clinic participants. A list of vendors may be located on the Boot Up clinic website.
