The Willow School’s Naomi Ford Named Girl’s Basketball Player of the Week

Girl’s Player of the Week: Naomi Ford, 8th Grade, Forward, The Willow School

In a week filled with outstanding performances on the basketball court, one player stood out above the rest. GeauxPreps.com is thrilled to announce that the Girls Basketball Player of the Week, presented by S3 Physical Therapy of Lake Charles, goes to none other than 8th grade forward Naomi Ford from The Willow School.

Ford’s remarkable week showcased her talent, determination, and contribution to her team’s success. In a game against Christ Episcopal, she delivered a career-high performance, scoring an impressive 16 points. Her offensive prowess was complemented by a stellar defensive effort, where she recorded an outstanding nine steals. Adding to her versatility, Ford contributed five rebounds and four assists, playing a pivotal role in her team’s convincing 35-point victory.

The momentum didn’t stop there for Ford, as she continued to shine in the following game against McDonogh #35. In this matchup, she showcased her consistency by contributing five points, seven rebounds, five assists, and an impressive seven steals. Ford’s all-around performance was instrumental in securing a nine-point win, capping off a perfect week for The Willow School.

For the week, Naomi Ford averaged nearly 11 points per game, highlighting her scoring ability. Additionally, she demonstrated her defensive prowess with an average of eight steals per game, showcasing her knack for disrupting the opponent’s offense. Ford’s impact extended to the boards, where she averaged six rebounds per game, solidifying her presence on both ends of the court.
