Undefeated Barbe Bucs Climb To No. 2 in MaxPreps Baseball Top 25

LAKE CHARLES – The Barbe High School baseball team continues its undefeated season and has caught the attention of several national media outlets including MaxPreps who moved the Buccaneers up to the No. 2 spot in its Top 25 baseball polls Wednesday.
Barbe last won a MaxPreps National Championship in 2014 when it finished with a 39-2 overall record.
The Bucs are winners of 20 straight games to start the season with their latest coming over rival Sam Houston on Tuesday with the two squads set to meet again on Thursday. The Broncos were also listed in the 17th spot of the national poll and own a 17-3 record on the season.
Barbe is ranked No. 1 in the GeauxPreps.com Baseball Power Ratings while Sam Houston is right behind in the No. 2 slot.
